Did you know that a small committee is currently implementing a language plan to boost and promote the use of the Irish language in Gaeltacht an Eachréidh?

Last night the members of the committee sat down with the Language Planning Officer for Claregalway, Carnmore, and Annaghdown, Ciaran Tierney, to plan events and activities for 2025.

Last year we recorded some of the wonderful native speakers of Irish in our area on camera and those videos are available to watch on our new YouTube channel.

Please keep an eye on this page for news of events, classes, competitions, guided walks, conversation clubs, and other related activities to reawaken our beautiful language in an area where it has a wonderful history and tradition.
