Free pizza with your ‘cúpla focal’
To mark Seachtain na Gaeilge this year, we are offering 15 lucky people from Gaeltacht an Eachréidh a free pizza if they join us for a night of conversation and craic in Headford on Thursday, March 5, from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
Gaeltacht an Eachréidh is teaming up with Gaeilgeoiri Áth Cinn for a night of conversation ‘as Gaeilge’ at Campbell’s Tavern and there is a free 12” pizza on offer to the first 15 people to register with us on our Eventbrite page.
Language planning is all about bringing communities together and we are delighted to link our two successful conversation circles in Claregalway and Loughgeorge with our neighbours who run a fortnightly ‘ciorcal comhrá’ in Headford.
All you have to do is book one of the free tickets on our Eventbrite page, print off the ticket, and present it to the staff after enjoying a pizza at Campbell’s Tavern on March 5.
“This is a great way of meeting other Irish language enthusiasts who live right beside is,” said Ciaran Tierney, the Irish Language Planning Officer for Gaeltacht an Eachréidh.
“It is all about building communities and coming together with people down the road in Headford who share our love of our native language. We don’t get to meet each other, as we are usually in The Arches Hotel at the time they are meeting in Campbells Tavern to speak Irish on Thursdays.”
