Join us at our Summer BBQ

Come and celebrate the summer with us at a special ‘BBQ an tSamhraidh’ at The Arches Hotel, Claregalway, on Saturday, August 29 (7 to 9pm).
This social event ‘as Gaeilge’ is a chance to enjoy traditional music, conversation, and good craic with Irish speakers and learners from Claregalway, Carnmore and Annaghdown.
It’s a chance for native speakers, people with some Irish, and learners to meet up, enjoy a drink and some good music, as we celebrate the end of summer and the return of conversation circles and Irish classes next month.
This barbecue at The Arches Hotel is free of charge, but you have to register in advance with us on our Eventbrite page as places are limited.
There will be musical entertainment on the night from Ogma, a four-piece traditional music group based in Co. Galway.
While Ogma will perform from 7pm, they are happy to invite other musicians and singers to join them. Musicians from Gaeltacht an Eachréidh are also invited to bring along their instruments for an informal session afterwards.
This event follows the huge success of our summer BBQ at McHugh’s Traditional Music Pub in August of last year, when Irish speakers to the north and east of the city enjoyed conversation, craic, and ceol on a beautiful Saturday evening.
It was a lovely way of bringing people together, making new friends, and practicing ‘cúpla focail’ together for an event which sold out in advance.
Food will be provided courtesy of Gaeltacht an Eachréidh and you can secure your ticket in advance by registering with us for free at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bbq-an-tsamraidh-tickets-1997839965116
